NiTi Perio Saw®
for clear & smooth extraction
A flexible, micro-serrated ligament saw with a super-elastic nickel-titanium (NiTi) blade. It cuts the periodontal ligament (PDL) around the root with controlled movement, so the tooth can be extracted with minimal force — saving the surrounding bone.
Why a saw, not a plain blade
A conventional ligament-cutting instrument has a plain blade. The NiTi Perio Saw® has a micro-serrated one.
Micro serration tip
A micro saw on the blade edge cuts the periodontal ligament clearly instead of tearing it.
Super-elastic NiTi
The tip bends up to 180° and springs back straight, following the curvature of the root.
Save the surrounding bone
Atraumatic, tissue-preserving PDL cutting for a clear extraction.
Controlled entry
The serration prevents slipping and gives precise directional entry into the ligament space.
“NiTi Perio Saw with micro serration” cuts the periodontal ligaments clearly.
A hand instrument — no motor, no handpiece. Push and draw gently in short strokes to cut the ligament around the root, with full tactile control.

Frequently asked questions
What is the NiTi Perio Saw?
A hand-held ligament saw with a micro-serrated nickel-titanium blade. It cuts the periodontal ligament (PDL) around the root so that the tooth can be extracted with less force. It can also be used in veterinary dentistry; this shop sells the veterinary version.
How is it different from a plain-blade instrument?
A plain blade pushes and tears the ligament. The NiTi Perio Saw® has micro serration on the blade edge, which prevents slipping, gives precise directional entry into the ligament space and cuts the ligament clearly.
Which tip should I choose?
Straight for anterior teeth, Curved for canine or premolar, Angled for mesial and distal, and Flat angled for interproximal. Each has a 2 mm tip and is available individually or as a set of four.
Is it reusable and how is it sterilised?
Yes. It is supplied non-sterile and is reusable. Autoclave it wrapped at 134 °C for 15 minutes and dry for 20 minutes.
Who can buy it?
This shop sells only to veterinarians and veterinary clinics, in the EU, the United States and other markets shown at checkout. The NiTi Perio Saw is for veterinary use only and is not for human use. Dentists: see NiTi Perio Saw® for human dentistry.
Who makes the NiTi Perio Saw®?
HANS Korea Co., Ltd. in Paju, Republic of Korea, designs and manufactures the NiTi Perio Saw® (also written NiTi PerioSaw). Perio Saw® is a registered EU trade mark of HANS Korea (EUTM No. 018462350). periosaw.com is the manufacturer's own shop for veterinarians and veterinary clinics; the instrument is also available through authorised distributors.
How does the NiTi Perio Saw® differ from a luxator or an elevator?
All of them work in the periodontal ligament space. An elevator has a thicker blade and is rotated to fatigue and tear the ligament. A luxating elevator has a thinner, sharper blade that cuts it. The NiTi Perio Saw® is the thinnest: a flexible, micro-serrated nickel-titanium blade that saws through the ligament along the root instead of tearing it.
Can the NiTi Perio Saw® be used to lever or elevate the root?
No. According to the instructions for use, it is pushed and drawn back gently in the ligament space to cut the periodontal ligament around the root, and the tooth is then extracted with minimal force. Do not twist it and do not use it to elevate the root.
Can it be used on an ankylosed tooth?
No. The instructions for use exclude ankylosed teeth. Where the periodontal ligament space is not visible on radiographs, there is no ligament for the saw to cut.
How much does it cost?
€100 for a single tip (Straight, Curved, Angled or Flat angled) and €300 for the set of four. Shipping is €19 per order (Australia and other regions €29) and free from €300; any import VAT or duties are payable on delivery. Orders are accepted from veterinarians and veterinary clinics only.
Where do you ship from, and can I return an item?
Orders ship from HANS Korea in the Republic of Korea to the EU, the United States and the other destinations shown at checkout, with a tracking number. Report defective or wrong goods within 7 days of receipt. Unused items in unopened packaging may be accepted within 14 days as a courtesy. Used or sterilised instruments cannot be returned unless defective.
